Fight Acne The Natural Way

At some point you must realize that your skin is a reflection of your internal health. If you’re not clean on the inside, it will most definitely show on the outside.  Hormonal imbalances and poor nutrition are the most common cause of  breakouts and chronic acne. With ingredients like tea tree oil, coconut oil, honey and a few other natural beauties, we can all look as good as we begin to feel with a few changes to our daily routine.

To fight against scarring and low self-esteem caused by these unsightly outbreaks I have listed a few treatments to do on a daily basis, to help get this skin clean and clear.

  1. Gentle Cleansing twice a day can help keep the pimples away. A great cleanser is Dr. Bronners Pure-Castile soap, preferably the hemp tea tree option. Tea tree oil unblocks the sebaceous glands, disinfect pores and dry out pimples. Dampen skin with warm water, take a few drops of the Dr. Bronners soap in the palm of your hand and massage into face and neck. Once done, rinse well and pat dry.
  2. Toning your skin helps to restore your skin natural pH levels, and removes the residue left behind after cleansing.  Pure apple cider vinegar (packed with potassium, magnesium, acetic acid and various enzymes that kill bacteria) on the skin is a great natural toner. Take a cotton ball with the pure apple cider vinegar and smooth all over the face, paying close attention to the problem areas.

3. Exfoliating the skin to rid the dead skin cells and build up goes a long way. Do this gently and regularly Take a gritty product such as brown sugar, sea salt, or ground oatmeal mixed with honey or coconut oil are great choices. Take an equal amount of both dry and wet ingredient and rub into skin in a circular motion. Remove with a damp cloth, and rinse well.

4. Moisturizing is vital to healthy glowing skin as well. One of the healthiest oils on earth, Coconut oil is great for moisturizer. The lauric acid, fatty acids and antioxidants help hydrate the skin. Mixing this with some tea tree oil will also help fight against acne. Tea tree oil unblocks the sebaceous glands, disinfect pores and dry out pimples.

Repeat these steps twice a day, change your eating habits and drink plenty of water. Your skin will be begin to look brighter and younger!
